ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮರಾಟಿ ಸಂಘವು 1989ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಭಾರತ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ 342ನೇ ವಿಧಿಯ ಅನ್ವಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪಂಗಡ (Scheduled Tribe) ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಮರಾಟಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಒಂದು ನೋಂದಾಯಿತ ಸಮಾಜಸೇವಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಘವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಮರಾಟಿ (ಮೂಲತಃ ಅವಿಭಜಿತ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮರಾಟಿ, ಕೊಡಗಿನ ಮರಾಠ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೇರಳದ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮರಾಟಿ) ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ, ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ, ನೈತಿಕ, ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಸಂಘವು ಸಮುದಾಯದೊಳಗಿನ ಭಾತೃತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಐಕ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿ, ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡುವುದು, ಸಮಾಜಬಂಧುಗಳ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಹಕ್ಕು-ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವುದು, ಅಂಧಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೋಷಣೆಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ, ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮರಾಟಿ ಸಂಘವು ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಪ್ರವಾಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಗೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡಲು ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.
